Mara Brock-Akil and her husband Salim Akil are going to stay married, at least for now.

According to multiple sources, Mara and her husband Salim are STILL together and plan on spending the holidays together as a family. The couple have two children together.

Mara's husband Salim is in the midst of a devastating scandal, that cost him his latest TV project.

A woman claiming to be Salim's side chick of 10 years, is suing him for allegedly abusing her during their relationship. Two weeks ago, Salim's lawyers released a statement admitting that Salim and the woman had a "relationship."

On Wednesday, things went from bad to worse. The OWN network announced that the fan favorite show 'Love Is...' was being cancelled.

Salim's wife and 'Love Is...' co-producer Mara Brock-Akil reacted to the cancellation by posting the following on Instagram. Here's what she wrote:

It's not clear why Mara is staying with her husband. Some are speculating that she "forgives" her husband for his transgressions. But others, on social media, are suggesting thats he doesn't believe that her husband cheated in the first place.

Here's more tea from Jezebel:

The show’s first season aired earlier in 2018 and was renewed for a second season, set to air in 2019. Variety reports that the new season was in preproduction when OWN pulled the plug. According to the press release that announced it in 2017, the show purportedly drew its inspiration from the Akils’ real-life relationship.

Additionally, Variety reports that according to its sources, an internal investigation at Warner Bros. Television found no allegations of misconduct on Love Is___ or Black Lightning, which is executive produced by Salim Akil. (WB produces both shows.) Black Lightning, according to the trade, has continued uninterrupted and Akil remains the showrunner.
