A Providence man had his throat CUT while walking on a public street in broad daylight in downtown Providence. The incident happened on the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Cromwell Street at approximately 9:00 on Monday morning.
According to passersby, the victim - who is Latino - was just standing on the cornet, and someone came up and allegedly SLIT HIS THROAT.
The victim was bleeding profusely, and would have died within seconds - but he was saved by a good Samaritan who used a rag to slow the bleeding until police and paramedics could arrive.
