"Rapper" Lil Xan announced this week that he is entering rehab to curb his substance abuse issues.
The 22-year-old rapper, who was rocked by the untimely death of rapper Mac Miller, hopes to continue his album once he's out and is clean.
“I just dropped out of SoundCloud Uni to go to rehab. I leave in like 5 days And I couldn't be happier with this choice. I love you guys for being so supportive and can't wait too get back clean headed ready to Finish my album!" he wrote on Instagram. The post has since been deleted.
Lil Xan has stated that his next album is to be a tribute album to the late Miller, who died two months ago after ingesting a mix of cocaine, fentanyl, and ethanol.
“Mac Miller hit too close to home. I know we struggle with the same problems and I just feel like it's time to get better,” Xan told TMZ.
He revealed that he struggles "Mostly with Hydrocodone. Norcos is what they call them. Basically, a lot of opioids. I've been way worse in the past. I want to do rehab so I can get over this last little hump, so I can finally be back to Diego."
