Love & Hip Hop: New York star has been released from prison after serving four years of his eight-year sentence in federal prison - and made a point of throwing his prison clothes away in a trash can - put on an entertaining show for viewers.
The 41-year-old music manager was found guilty for his role in a drug trafficking ring. Harris was sentenced to eight to ten years behind bars back in 2015. He initially appealed his sentence in the Appellate Court, where a judge upheld his original sentence, but Harris was given credit for 15 months for time served.
His wife, Yandy Smith, was praised by fans for standing by her man and staying loyal. There was not even a whisper of Yandy being unfaithful to Harris during the entire time he was locked up.
"The season I learned the most was also the most therapeutic season for me, and it was when we were hit with some really hard family times," she said during an interview with VH1 back in 2018. "Having to say goodbye to my husband for the first time was the hardest."
Mendeecees' sentence was part of a plea deal where he admitted to trafficking heroin and cocaine from New York City to the Rochester, New York area from 2006 to 2008.
