Love & Hip Hop: New York star Mendeecees Harris hopped onto Instagram to share his love for his family a week after his release from prison.

"Having a place to go is a home. Having someone to love 💕 is a family. Having both is a BLESSING. Family is everything. Thank u for all of y’all welcomes.. they’re really appreciated and it doesn’t go unnoticed!! 🙏🏽" he wrote n the caption alongside pictures of himself with two of his children and his wife, Yandy Smith.

The 41-year-old music manager was found guilty for his role in a drug trafficking ring in 2015. He was subsequently was sentenced to eight to ten years behind bars and appealed his sentence. Harris did not prevail in his appeal, but all was not lost.

While the Appellate Court judge ultimately upheld his original sentence, he was given credit for 15 months for time served. Mendeecees' sentence stems from plea deal where he admitted to trafficking heroin and cocaine from New York City to the Rochester, New York area from 2006 to 2008.
