Rapper Kodak Black has been denied bond by a judge and will have to remain behind bars until his upcoming court date.

The decision comes after federal prosecutors appealed the decision to release the rapper on bond following his arrest for a weapons violations. Kodak is accused of lying on federal forms in Miami to purchase firearms.

Kodak is reported to have purchased a 9 mm handgun, a .380-caliber handgun, and a semiautomatic Mini Draco weapon, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Bruce Brown.

Due to his lengthy criminal record, Judge Federico Moreno revoked his $550,000 bond, feeling that he would not be able to stay out of trouble if he is released, calling him a “danger to the community.”

Kodak is also waiting to stand trial in North Carolina for an alleged rape against a high school student back in 2016. Kodak faces up to 30-years in prison if convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
