Popular south Florida rapper Kodak Black was arrested last night on federal weapons charges. Police captured the rapper while he was set to perform at Rolling Loud music festival, police said.

The 21-year-old Pompano Beach rap star was arrested before he was scheduled to perform at the three-day music festival at Hard Rock Stadium, in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Here's video of his arrest:

Miami police officer Alvaro Zabaleta told media that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is the lead agency in the investigation. It's not clear what Kodak is accused of doing now - but it seems serious.

Multiple folks on social media claim that when Kodak was told of the charges, he began crying. The reports say his new case carried a possible LIFE sentence.

Zabaleta said the rapper, who legally changed his name from Dieuson Octave to Bill K. Kapri while in jail last year, will also face state firearms charges.

This is just the latest in a string of arrests for Kodak Black. Less than a month ago, he was arrested in upstate New York on drugs and weapons charges.

And Kodak was only released from a Broward County jail in August 2018 after being convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana.
