As "House of Cards" character, Frank Underwood...

Kevin Spacey has addressed the sexual assault allegations against him, while weirdly linking them into his Frank Underwood character from “House of Cards.”

In a video released on Christmas Eve, he spoke in a thick, southern accent in the video which was titled "Let Me Be Frank," he says:

“I know what you want. You want me back. Of course, some believed everything and have just been waiting with bated breath to hear me confess it all. They’re just dying to have me declare that everything said is true and that I got what I deserved. Wouldn’t that be easy if it was all so simple? Only you and I both know it’s never that simple. Not in politics and not in life. But you wouldn’t believe the worst without evidence, would you? You wouldn’t rush to judgments without facts, would you? Did you?”

The video was released almost immediately after the news broke that he will be charged in Nantucket for allegedly sexually assaulting the son of a news anchor.

In November of 2017, Spacey went into treatment after several people accused him of sexual misconduct. He was also fired from playing Frank Underwood on the Netflix series, so it's odd that he would reprise the role to address such a serious event.
