Kendall Jenner has remained surprisingly tight-lipped over her involvement with the Fyre Festival, but she has broken her silence with an interview with the NY Times.

It is reported that Jenner received a payment of $250,000 to promote the festival via her social media pages. She is one of several influencers who are being dragged into court over the epic scamfest.

“You get reached out to by people to, whether it be to promote or help or whatever, and you never know how these things are going to turn out, sometimes it’s a risk,” she said.

“I definitely do as much research as I can, but sometimes there isn’t much research you can do because it’s a starting brand and you kind of have to have faith in it and hope it will work out the way people say it will.” Even when she trusts her collaborators, “you never really know what’s going to happen.”

But did she return the payment when it was all revealed to be one big finesse? That's the real question.
