The recent firing of host Megyn Kelly has been great for Today show ratings.

According to Variety, the ousting of Kelly has been a positive thing - “viewership in the key demographic favored by advertisers in that time period is up around 10 percent.”

Reports say that when Kelly took over from Tamron Hall and Al Roker in 2017, viewership immediately started to decline.

In its last week on air, “Megyn Kelly Today” captured 675,000 viewers between 25 and 54, according to Nielsen, and approximately 2.52 million viewers overall. Last week, the third hour of “Today” snared 741,000 viewers between 25 and 54 and more than 2.63 million viewers overall, representing jumps of about 10% and 4%.

She was fired after saying the following about RHONY's Luann De Lesseps blackface costume.

"But what is racist?" Kelly asked. "Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character."

The viewers have spoken. Ignorant racial commentary will not be tolerated.
