Kanye West asked a crowd what they were laughing at after he announced his intentions to run for president of the United States in 2024.

"When I run for president in 2024," Kanye told the audience in attendance at the 2019 Fast Company Innovation Festival.

The crowd then broke out into giggles before Ye asked, "... What y'all laughing at? When I run for president in 2024, we would create so many jobs that I'm not going to run, I'm going to walk. What I'm saying is, when y'all read headlines—'Kanye's crazy,' this and that—one in three African Americans are in jail, and all the celebrities are in jail also 'cause they can't say nothing, they got no opinion, they're so scared!"

This is not the first time that Kanye has revealed his intentions to run for office. Lately, he has turned to Christianity and seems hellbent on turning his wife into First Lady material.

Is his recent change in behavior all a ploy to make it into the White House?
