Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo, one of the brothers who allegedly conspired with 'Empire' actor Jussie Smollett to stage a hate crime hoax, has just won a boxing competition in Chicago.

Abel allegedly received $3,500 from Smollett to help stage the Jan. 29 incident, won the “senior novice division” title on Friday night according to the Chicago Tribune. The division is for amateur boxers between 21 and 35 who weigh 178 pounds or less.

The Osundairo brothers were arrested over the alleged hoax on Feb. 13 but were released two days later after interviewing them. The Chicago Police Department then charged Smollett with staging the attack which falsely implicated MAGA before eventually dropping all charges against him.

The CPD is suing him in civil court for refusing to reimburse the city for its $130,000 investigation into a hoax. Smollett has always denied the allegations and is refusing to pay the city of Chicago.
