Attorneys for disgraced singer R. Kelly been ordered to respond to a lawsuit alleging sex abuse or face losing the case.
Kelly's attorneys requested to put the lawsuit on hold while the singer fights the more serious felony charges, but according to reports, Associate Judge Moira Johnson sided with the lawyers of Kelly's accusers and demanded that Kelly file an answer to the litigation.
Kelly's lawyers have until June 26 to respond to the lawsuit in Cook County.
The bad news for Kelly does not stop there. A former Mississippi sheriff’s deputy is suing Kelly for allegedly breaking up his marriage and wants his day in court too!
Back in 2017, Kenny Bryant sued R. Kelly, accusing him of having an affair with his wife and ruining not only his marriage but his life. Mississippi is one of the only states that allow a person to sue another for breaking up their marriage.
