'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Joe Giudice has officially ended his sentence for committing fraud but was turned over to ICE immediately upon his release.
He spent under three years at the Allenwood Low Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania but now remains in federal custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), per E!
The news will not be a shock to anyone who has been following the story.
"The custodial aspect of Mr. Giudice's federal sentence does, in fact, expire on or about Mar. 14, 2019," Teresa's attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., said in a statement last week.
"However, due to the immigration order and detainer lodged against him, that is not a release date, meaning he is not coming home on that date."
Teresa has already publicly revealed that if Joe is returned to Italy, she will not be moving with him and will most likely divorce him. She has no intentions of maintaining a long-distance marriage.
