Jilly from Philly is notoriously unlucky in love. Back in November, R&B legend Jill Scott filed to divorce Mike Dobson – after only one year of marriage. The petition was filed following a two month period of separation.
Scott cited the cause of the divorce as both “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct that such further cohabitation would be unsafe and improper.” Scott also filed a restraining order against Dobson leaving many scratching their heads trying to figure out what was REALLY going on!
The news of the breakup came abruptly, with outsiders predicting a MESSY divorce on the cards, and they were right!
Now Jill’s estranged husband has just filed legal docs requesting their prenuptial agreement be thrown out – and he wants Jill to pay up.
According to the documents, Mike claims that Jill coerced him into signing it just three weeks before their wedding and that she committed a SCAM. Mike wants half of their marital assets plus $500,000 for the “pain and suffering” she put him through.
For those who have been paying attention to the Scoot-Dobson saga, his latest demands should not come as a huge shock. Last year, he told Bossip, “She likes to emasculate men – that’s her problem,” Dobson said. “I told her, she’s from Philly, but I’m from New York, and if you want to try to disgrace me, try to slander me, I can fight dirty,” Dobson said.
I don't know about y'all, but does a year in marriage entitle you to half? Even Janet Jackson had to wait a full five years to get hers! Dobson needs to drop the Kendu act and get himself a job!
