Yesterday a Jersey City, New Jersey police officer was tragically killed, after getting into a shootout in downtown Jersey City.

Police describe the shooters as "two individuals armed with long rifles." They claim that the shooters were in a cemetery when they were confronted by a Jersey City officer. The suspects allegedly gunned down the police officer, and then calmly drove their van and opened fire on shoppers inside a local Jewish market.

But MTO News has more details. We located audio of the police scanners, immediately after the incident. And according to the police, the shooters are a Black man and woman.

News 4 has identified the couple as David Anderson and Francine Graham. The same report claims that the couple was previously involved with the Black Hebrew Israelites.

“Give me a rundown of the CCTV”

“We saw 2 shooters get out of the van.... they jumped out and went in”

“Give me a decrib”

“A black male and a black female”

And there's more. MTO News has unveiled that chatter on the streets of Jersey City is that the alleged shooters were romantically involved — a Black couple.

And the story is playing out just like the new Lena Waithe movie Queen & Slim. So far it's not clear whether the killer couple was motivated by the new movie.

Here's video of police response to the shooters:

In Queen & Slim - which was produced by Lena Waitte and stars Daniel Kaluuya - Slim and Queen's first date takes an unexpected turn when a policeman pulls them over for a minor traffic violation. The situation escalates, and Slim takes the officer's gun and shoots him in self-defense.

Queen & Slim are then labeled cop killers in the media and feel that they have no choice but to go on the run and evade the law. When a video of the incident goes viral, the unwitting outlaws soon become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief, and pain for people all across the country.
