Fans of Issa Rae's hit HBO series Insecure will be pleased to learn that filming of season four will begin this September.

Issa has been taking time out to focus on other projects, but she will not be neglecting the series which first put the star on the Hollywood map.

"I haven't even started writing four," she told the Guardian back in April.

"But we needed a break, after going back-to-back for three years. Making that show means nine months out of the year, you can't do anything else, and nobody wants to feel like a hamster on a wheel. That's not conducive to creativity at all," she says. "So much of that show is about our own experiences, so we need to be able to live life."

She recently starred in the movie Little alongside Regina Hall and Marsai Martin. Martin wrote and produced the flick alongside Girls Trip director, Will Packer.
