Good news for fans of the iconic show 'In Living Color' -the original cast members will reunite at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
Creator of the show - Keenen Ivory Wayans along with cast members Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, and Rosie Perez will hit the festival to talk about the show's cultural impact.
'In Living Color' has been a staple in Black television, and rapper Cardi B and Bruno Mars' video for the 'Finesse' remix as heavily inspired by the sketch show.
“When some of the most cinematic storytelling continues to happen on screens of all sizes and shapes, we were particularly inspired this year by the scope, innovation, and accomplishment of the so-called ‘small’ screen,” festival director Cara Cusumano said in a statement.
“It’s a privilege to showcase these diverse works with a robust program that speaks to the limitless potential of the episodic form.”
The Tribeca Film Festival takes place in New York City Apr. 24 through May 5.
