Last week, the governor of Georgia decided to "open up" the State and since that time a surge in coronavirus cases has begun flooding local hospitals.
And we should soon expect an even bigger uptick in coronavirus infections in Georgia.
That's because, over the weekend, a popular Atlanta store released a backlog of Air Jordan sneakers, and hundreds of teens showed up, hoping to cop a pair of the exclusive sneakers.
Not only did a number of come out in hopes to get a pair of sneakers, but many of them were not wearing masking and were clearly less than 6 feet from each other.
Here are pics from the line:
Air Jordan is a brand of basketball shoes, athletic, casual, and style clothing produced by Nike. It was created for former NBA player and six-time NBA Finals MVP Michael Jordan. The original Air Jordan sneakers were produced exclusively for Michael Jordan in early 1984, and released to the public in late 1984. The shoes were designed for Nike by Peter Moore, Tinker Hatfield, and Bruce Kilgore.
Air Jordans, or just Jordans, are by far the most collectible brand of sneakers in the world. Many of the sneakers actually appreciate in value.
