NHL hockey player Evander Kane has been suspended after he submitted fake vaccination records.
Kane has been suspended for 21 games without pay by the NHL on Monday for an "established violation" of the NHL/NHLPA COVID-19 protocol.
"I would like to apologize to my teammates, the San Jose Sharks organization, and all Sharks fans for violating the NHL COVID protocols," said Kane in a statement. "I made a mistake, one I sincerely regret and take responsibility for. During my suspension, I will continue to participate in counseling to help me make better decisions in the future. When my suspension is over, I plan to return to the ice with great effort, determination, and love for the game of hockey."
This comes a year after his ex, Anna Kane accused him of betting on his own games. She also accused him of domestic violence but after an investigation, the league found that her claims “could not be substantiated.”
