On Sunday, June 9, 2019 Geto Boys rapper, Bushwick Bill, passed away at the age of 52. 

The small in stature, but big in heart rapper was battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer at the time of his death, and was surrounded by his family upon his transition from this earth. 

Now, his son is speaking out to share Bushwick’s final message on this earth.

According to Bushwick Bill’s son, Javon, as his father lay on his death bed, he uttered these last words:

Bushwick Bill’s final words were from his deathbed were, “I will love you forever.”

MTO News first reported that Bushwick was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer months ago. The rap legend made a formal announcement of his his cancer fight on Instagram in April. 

Bushwick Bill, real name Richard Stephen Shaw, was best known as a member of the pioneering Texas hip hop group Geto Boys, a group he originally joined as a dancer in 1986 as Little Billy. He went on to become one third of the best-known incarnation of the group, alongside Willie D and Scarface.
