An Indiana HS Football star killed a cheerleader that got pregnant and refused abortion

A 16-year-old boy from Mishawaka, Indiana has been charged with one count of murder and one count of feticide.

Aaron Trejo is facing the death penalty after police say that he murdered his pregnant girlfriend, killing both her and the baby inside her.

Aaron was the top football player Mishawaka High School, and his deceased girlfriend Breana Rouhselang was the captain of the cheerleaders. The two knew each other since grade school, and they finally got together earlier this year. They seemed like the perfect couple, and they were until she got pregnant.

Probable cause documents say that Aaron had been planning to kill Breana and the baby for a week before he did. Police confirm that Breana was pregnant, and documents say he was the father of her child.

According to police, they found some of Breana’s clothing with blood on it in an alley, and after searching the area more, they found her concealed in a dumpster.

Aaron originally told police that he reached out to her to see how her pregnancy was going. He also told the police that neither he nor Breana wanted the baby.

But things changed, when they put pressure on the HS football star. Police say that when Aaron was confronted with the evidence, he allegedly confessed to stabbing Breana in the heart.

Aaron allegedly told police that he killed Breana because she waited too long to tell him about the pregnancy- so an abortion wasn't an option at that point, documents say.

When asked what he did about that, he replied, "I took action...I took her life."
