A group of goons tried to assassinate rappers YFN Lucci and Lil Zay Osama yesterday, and it was caught on video.

The two rappers were hanging out with family and friends at a park, where the two rappers were preparing to shoot a music video for their new song.

According to multiple sources, a group of local goons pulled up to the rappers and demanded that they pay "extortion" money - in order to film a video in their hood.

Lucci and Say Osama refused two pay the goons, and just went back to hanging out - like everything was sweet.

And minutes later, a car drove by carrying men with automatic rifles - and they shot up the video set. Luckily no one was injured.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... YFN Lucci's Mercedes SUV was shot up Friday night in Atlanta, and when police responded, they found a man suffering from two gunshot wounds. We're told the victim was not Lucci, and the rapper isn't listed on the police report.

Our ATL Sources tell us it's Lucci's whip, although his mother is the registered owner.

YFN Lucci is best known as the rapper who is dating Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter.

He's from Atlanta, Georgia. His debut extended play, Long Live Nut, was released in 2017 and peaked at number 27 on the Billboard 200 chart. The EP's first single "Everyday We Lit," produced by June James, has peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became his highest charting single so far. In 2018, he released his first studio album Ray Ray From Summerhill which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200.
