CBS News Anchor, Gayle King, has revealed that Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Donald Trump, reached out to her after the Kobe Bryant controversy.

King was dragged online after she interviewed WNBA star, Leslie King, pressing her on Bryant's 2003 rape allegations.

King says she was "shocked" by Trump's call.

"What surprised me is the people that came to reach out to me in unexpected places," she said call while chopping it up with bestie, Oprah Winfrey. "Ivanka Trump, it's not like I'm hanging out at The White House, but Ivanka Trump reached out to me to say, 'Are you OK? I'm sorry that this is happening to you.' I mean, I have to say I was very touched by that."

She also says that another member of the Trump camp reached out to her. "Sean Spicer reached out to me! Who I don't know at all!"
