Garcelle Beauvais will officially be joining the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The show has been running for over a decade now, and Bravo has finally decided to cast Garcelle Beauvais, as the first-ever Black cast member of the show.

For years viewers have watched the ladies' drama from one of the most expensive zip codes the country, but there was never any Black representation on the show - despite the fact that there are Black people thriving in the wealthy community.

“I am excited and proud to be joining the cast of such a wildly popular and beloved show like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Beauvais told The Daily Dish.

“As a working actor who has been in the industry for some time, it’s exhilarating to have the opportunity to delve into a new chapter in the entertainment spectrum. As the first African American Housewife in the Beverly Hills franchise, I am honored and humbled by this awesome opportunity to exemplify the fact that Black Girl Magic lives and thrives in every zip code!”

Many have threatened to boycott the show after Lisa Vanderpump quit - but we think Black twitter may tune in to support Garcelle!
