Sean Combs is seen in mourning during Kim Porter's funeral service. The pair dated for over 10 years and shared three children together: son Christian, 20, and twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila, 11. Porter will be buried alongside her mother Sarah Lee Porter, who passed away in 2014.

Diddy gave a touching eulogy, the summarized perfectly. They wrote:

“God, I hope one day I get me a girl like that,” Diddy began, remembering the first time he ever saw her during a recording session with Al B. Sure during their days at Uptown Records.

“I would come into the office every day,” he said, “and she worked at the front desk, and I would be so excited to come up in the elevator. To know that I was going to see her.”

He talked about how their relationship grew throughout the years, telling the audience, “She was my friend first. She was my confidante. She was like my guidance, still is. I was just open … We fell in love and honestly, her love was too much for me to handle. It was a lot to handle, to take in.”

Diddy, clearly a little overwhelmed by the moment, stopped at one point to say, “We didn’t really plan for this. I definitely thought I was going to go first. God didn’t have it be that way.”

Then he reminisced on a time earlier this year when Kim was there for him when he really needed it.

“From the top of the year, I was going through a real dark time,” Diddy said. “I was really depressed. And I don’t know why, maybe it was cause I was getting older. I just went through a dark, dark time. And she would come over and make sure … even though we weren’t together … She was just like, ‘Come on, Puff. You gotta get up. You gotta get up out the bed. You gotta get moving. You gotta get up.'”

Diddy then addressed his children, telling them, “I just want to say, to my kids — Justin, Christian, Delilah, Jessie, Chance, and the other man of the house, Quincy — your mother instilled in me this, that I pledge in front of everybody right now, that I will always be there for y’all. I will always take care of you. To the girls especially, we’re about to enter into some different type of times. I want y’all to be able to talk to me about everything, and I mean everything.”
