Geraldo Rivera is a longtime supporter and friend of President Trump, but following the recent events at Capitol Hill, he now says he's in support of the Democrat's bid to impeach the president.
"A loyal friend, hounded without mercy by Democrats intent on destroying him from Day 1. Then he lost the election. It made him crazy or revealed a dysfunction I had refused to see. He then unleashed a mob to make war on their own government. 5 to their doom. @LizCheney is right," Rivera tweeted.
Vice President Mike Pence has said he will not invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He said he "does not believe such a course of action is in the best interest of our Nation or consistent with our Constitution."
"Last week, I did not yield to pressure to exert power beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election, and I will not now yield to efforts in the House of Representatives to play political games at a time so serious in the life of our Nation," Pence wrote.
