A former pro wrestler was badly beaten by six men, right in front of his Mar Vista, California home
According to neighbors, the fight started over a parking dispute. Six teenagers beat Tom Magee, who will be 60 in July, until he was nearly dead. Tom suffered a broken jaw, broken eye socket and concussion.
But McGee isn't a small man. In fact in the 1980s he wrestled for the WWE - when he weighed 265 pounds. He fought under the name "Tom McGee" Once upon a time ago, Tom even set a world record with a 1,180-pound deadlift.
“Tom came and encountered the young men, and it proceeded to a fight . . .It was sort of a conflict over who was allowed to park in this spot,” says friend and neighbor Kendall Noxxel.
Another neighbor told local news, “They were literally kicking him, punching him in the face and in the head,” said the neighbor.
She said six men were involved in the attack. When neighbors came out to see what was going on, the men took off.
According to police, Tom was left with a broken jaw, broken eye socket and concussion. Officer Christopher No with the Los Angeles Police Department told HuffPost a “neighborhood dispute” led to the incident.
“There was an altercation and Magee got assaulted and beaten,” No said.
Local news reports said of the assaulters, “They were literally kicking him, punching him in the face and in the head,” a neighbor, who did not wish to be identified, told CBS Los Angeles. "As of Friday, two arrests have been made in the case. Officer No identified them as Justin Lee, 20, and Degrate Bryant, also 20. Both face charges of causing great bodily injury."
