Texan Beyonce fans are blaming her for Republican Ted Cruz's midterm victory.
Texas native, Beyoncé came out at the last minute to endorse Beto O’Rourke when she hopped on Instagram to urge her fans to vote for O’Rourke.
On Instagram, Beyonce can be seen posting photos on Instagram of herself dressed in a black crop top, black pants and a black monochrome baseball cap with “Beto for Senate” emblazoned across the front.
She also posted a video with the caption:
"I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right. We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable. Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day!
Every vote counts
Every race matters
But fans were quick to blast her for her late plea.
"Ok, but you posted this the day of election, when elections were practically closed? Why wouldn't you have posted this earlier? I mean great and all, please continue to use your influence for good but also please do so in a more powerful manner, eg. Not when polls are almost closed," one wrote.
Another typed " right?! Like literally the day of the election when Texas doesn’t have same-day registration. Ya failed us @beyonce"
While some had her back.
"So...we gonna find one Black woman to blame the lost on?
How did the White women do? Any celebrities stepped up to get them to vote? The Black women/fans thatt could vote for him probably did. What about the White women? 🗣YALL NOT GONNA BLAME BEY FOR THIS BS"
Another added " I’m sure a lot of people didn’t even know they had a choice other than Cruz. The point of endorsements as huge as Bey’s is to get the word out to uninformed voters and possibly just a little push for them to do their own research."
Even billionaire Oprah managed to make it down to Georgia to help Stacey Abrams secure some much-needed votes.
Do you think Bey left it too late?
