R&B singer Ralph Tresvant, the leader of the legendary group New Edition - is being forced out MTO News has exclusively learned.
According to people close to the group, multiple members have been UNHAPPY with Ralph's behavior - which is being sdescribed as "unreasonable." The insider explained, "Ralph thinks he's still the star of the group, but he's not."
The insider continued, "He wants to get paid more money - because he does more singing." But the New Editon tipster tells us that he's NOT the biggest draw anymore. People come to see BBD, hear Bobby Brown, and listen to Johnny Gill's voice. He's probably the LEAST famous in the group."
And that bad blood has caused the group to DROP Ralph - from their upcoming tour. The group is going on tour - without Ralph, and without Johnny (who we're told had other engagements that conflicted).
In an Instagram post last week Ralph shared the news:
“I know yall need answers on why ish is not going down,” he said in the caption. “I’m on record this morning on behalf of Orchard Park Projects, Boston, Maurice Starr, Candy Girl and all that have participated and worked for this organization.I will do my part and talk and open up communication to get this ish back on track Ralph, Ricky, Ronnie, Bobby, Johnny & Brooke. With love and honor and respect at the table, God can do his work Good am & God Bless Michael L.Bivins #Bivfam and my big brothers.”
