Yesterday friends, family and members of the hip hop community gathered in Tampa Florida for the funeral of Gregory Jacobs, a rapper and producer better known as ‘Shock G’ of Digital Underground. And MTO News managed to get exclusive pictures from the funeral.
Hundreds of people showed up to the Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 2102 N. Lowe Street in Tampa to reflect on Jacobs’ life and career in music.
Famous entertainers including rapper Busta Rhymes, record executive, Jermaine Dupri, singer CeeLo Green and members of Digital Underground appeared on a live stream of the service to express their condolences.

At one point in the moving ceremony, one of Shock G’s closets friends – and Digital Underground member – broke down and started hugging the casket. It was a really moving moment.
Shock G is survived by his mother, Shirley Kraft; father, Edward Racker; brother, Kent Racker; and sister, Elizabeth Racker.
