An evil woman is being charged with the murder of her 4 year old daughter. The innocent four-year-old girl tragically drowned yesterday after a woman police say is her mother threw the child off a bridge and into a Tampa, Florida river.
The beautiful and innocent Je'Hyrah Daniels was found in the Hillsborough River around 4:30pm. Prosecutors charged her 26-year-old single mother, Shakayla Denson with first-degree murder.
According to witnesses on the scene, Shakayla tossed the child in the river while they begged her to stop.
Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan told media that the witnesses were 'shaken up' with what they say. But got together the courage to call 9-1-1 and report the horrific incident.
“It’s a completely tragic event,” Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan told reporters at the scene. “We’re still piecing the whole thing together.”
Cops said Denson stole a car from a local auto shop and drove it to the river, where she parked and then waded into the waters with the small child.
She was arrested on several charges, including first-degree felony murder in the death of Je’Hyrah.
Denson’s motive is unclear, and while police are investigating the incident not much headway has been made as to why Denson would allegedly drown her daughter.
“Unfortunately at this time, there are much more questions than there are answers,” Police Chief Brian Dugan told reporters according to Fox 13 News. “It’s the craziness of the world we live in at this time.”
If convicted Shakayla will face the death penalty.
