The hit television show 'Empire' will soon be coming to an end, as season six will be the show's last ever season.
“We are turning the final season into a television event, we are trying to go out guns blazing,” Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier said, per Deadline. “You allow fans to lean in and have the ending they deserve,” he added.
Jussie Smollett has not been slated to appear in any of the season's episodes at this time. His contract was extended by the network - but many think that this was just a polite way to fire him.
The show was battling low ratings but after Smollett's hate crime hoax, which reportedly took place on Jan, 29, authorities accused the star of creating the hoax in a bid to secure a bigger paycheck from the show - the ratings took an even bigger hit but the show is still the second highest rated drama on Fox.
