Elton John is alleging that Queen Elizabeth slapped her nephew across the face right in front of him in his new book, Me.

According to Elton, the Queen put hands on her nephew, Viscount Linley.

He said he attended a party where Queen Elizabeth asked Linley to watch his sister, Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones, because she had left the party due to feeling ill, but Linley wanted to continue partying.

"When he [Linley] repeatedly tried to fob her off, the Queen lightly slapped him across the face, saying 'Don't' – slap – 'argue' – slap – 'with' – slap – 'me' – slap – 'I' – slap – 'am' – slap – 'THE QUEEN!'" the pop singer wrote in his book according to the Sunday Times of London.

"I know the Queen's public image isn't exactly one of wild frivolity, private she could be hilarious," he continued.

John has enjoyed close friendships with the Royal Family and was particularly close with the late Princess Diana.
