On Saturday two young girls were shot to death alongside their father in suburban Hazel Crest. ABC news claims that it was allegedly over a dispute over a drug debt. The man of the house, Dionus Neely, 39, was targeted. He reportedly had a number of drug-related arrests.
Dionus' two daughters Elle Neely, 10, and India Neely, 3, were identified as the two children by the Cook County medical examiner's office.
On Sunday, police divulged little about what they've learned, but a plea was made for information.
"Somebody knows about what transpired. Look inside yourself, look into your heart, come forward and tell us what you know," Hazel Crest Police Chief Mitchell Davis III said at a Sunday press conference. "There's not a madman out killing kids, there's a madman who killed some kids..."
