Drake will have to testify in court over a sample used on his “Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2" cut.

Back in 2014, the "God's Plan" rapper was sued by the estate of jazz musician Jimmy Smith and a music publishing company called Hebrew Hustle. He is accused of sampling Smith’s track on his album Nothing Was The Same, without permission.

According to The Blast, Hebrew Hustle filed their witness list with the court and they really want Drake on the stand.

They report that court documents "note that Drake’s testimony will be live and not previously recorded, meaning he will be in front of a jury."

Drake has counter-sued Hebrew Hustle, accusing the company of "using his face and name on their website" to "make it appear he worked with the company and endorsed their work".

He is suing for damages. The trial will begin next month.
