Cultural icon and longtime friend of Michael Jackson has spoken out in defense of her late friend.

“This is what’s on my heart this morning,” Ross tweeted.

“I believe and trust that Michael Jackson was and is A magnificent incredible force to me and to many others.”

Ross, 74, also tweeted “STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE.” The message was in response to the ongoing backlash against the pop star who is sadly not around to defend himself.

Ross is the latest celebrity to speak out in support of his legacy following Barbra Streisand's controversial remarks about the star's sexual needs.

“I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him,” she told the U.K Times.

“His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has. You can say ‘molested,’ but those children, as you heard say, they were thrilled to be there.”

She later apologized for her comments.
