Dem Franchize Boyz announced to their fans that Gerald Tiller, better known as Buddie, has sadly passed away. 

 

The group shared a picture of Buddie on Instagram along with the caption:

"🥺🥺 R.I.P Buddie you Will be Missed #demfranchizeboyz"

Jermaine Dupri also confirmed the news via his social media:

"'They call me Doctor Doc I prescribe what a n*gga need," he posted on Instagram. "#ripbuddy may your soul rest easy #demfranchiseboyz. #fuckcancer."

Our condolences go out to Buddie's loved ones at this sad time.

DFB signed to Universal Records in 2004 after performing unsigned. Universal released the group's self-titled debut album in September of that year with hit single "White Tee."Jermaine Dupri later signed the group to his label So So Def after transferring it from Arista Records to Virgin Records. 

"Lean wit It" was among several "snap music" singles popular in early 2006, such as "Laffy Taffy" by D4L and "Play" by David Banner.
