David Schwimmer Proposes 'All-Black' Reboot Of 'Friends', Erika Alexander Responds
Actor David Schwimmer really thought he was onto something when he proposed an "all Black" reboot of the popular sitcom Friends - but there already was one - it was called Living Single.
"Maybe there should be an all-black Friends or an all-Asian Friends," Schwimmer told the Guardian in a lengthy interview. "But I was well aware of the lack of diversity and I campaigned for years to have Ross date women of color. One of the first girlfriends I had on the show was an Asian American woman, and later I dated African American women. That was a very conscious push on my part."
Erika Alexander, who played attorney Maxine Shaw on Living Single, wasted no time in getting him up to speed. "Hey David Schwimmer, r u seriously telling me you've never heard of Living Single? We invented the template! [You're] welcome bro," she tweeted.
Well, she is right - but we won't pass up on a reboot if anyone's offering?
