The City Girls have agreed to join the cast of Love & Hip Hop, MTO News has learned. The group has agreed in principle to be a part of VH1s highest rated show.
According to two people at the network, Jatavia “JT” Johnson and Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee signed on to be "featured" on Love & Hip Hop. The insider explained, "They are working on putting them either on Miami, or Atlanta."
JT is currently in prison, but is expected to be released in the next six months. And VH1 cameras will be there when she's released. She turned herself in back in July...But it seems as if JT was able to work something out with the law.
JT is currently being held at Miami's Federal Detention Center, according to documents obtained by Billboard. She was slated to be released from prison on March 21, 2020.
Fellow Miami-bred rapper Trina already started showing support for the Quality Control artist by wearing a "Free JT" shirt. Drake also voiced his displeasure with JT's incarceration to Instagram. "Damn free my shorty," he wrote. The group made a splash last week when they appeared on Drake's new album Scorpion. The tandem joined Drizzy on his SIDE B standout "In My Feelings."
The insider explained, "The City Girls are hot, and bring the drama - perfect from Love & Hip Hop."
Th City Girls burst on the scene last year with their singles “F**k That N***a” and “I’ll Take Your Man.” They were quickly signed by the Quality Control label, which also houses Migos, Cardi B, Lil Baby, Stefflon Don and Lil Yachty.
