R&B singer Ciara is just about perfect - pretty, rich, and successful - but she has one flaw, dandruff.

The R&B singer showed off her face on Instagram yesterday, and she accidentally revealed that she has a problem with dandruff.

In the pic that Ciara posted online, you see her wearing a black t-shirt that is covered in white flakes.

Dandruff is a common condition of the scalp that causes flakes of skin to appear. It is often accompanied by itching. The exact cause is unknown, but various factors increase the risk. It is not related to poor hygiene, but it may be more visible if a person does not wash or brush their hair often.

Dandruff is what dermatologists call a 'recurring condition' so unless you treat it regularly, the symptoms will probably return.

That’s because the 3 factors that cause dandruff - the naturally occurring microbe Malassesia globosa, scalp oils, and a scalp that’s sensitive to the microbe - are nearly always present. Malassezia breaks down scalp oils into irritants that trigger dandruff flaking and itch.

The 33-year-old "Level Up" singer and her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, are parents to 1-year-old daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, born in April 2017. Ciara is also a mom to 4-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, who she shares with her ex, rapper Future.

In her cover story for February's Vogue Arabia, Ciara dishes on her upcoming seventh album, set to debut this year, declaring it one of her "best works ever."
