Chris Brown's battery charge stemming from an alleged nightclub fight in Tampa back in 2017 has been dropped.

A rep for the Office of the State Attorney in Florida told The Blast, "After a thorough review of the facts and information from the alleged victim, our office determined there was insufficient evidence to prosecute."

The charge was officially dropped on Monday, despite announcing the decision on Friday.

Chris was accused of punching a photographer with a closed fist. According to the arrest report, the photographer suffered injuries to his upper and lower lip, and the incident was captured on video by club security.

Chris left the club and the state, but was arrested by cops a year later when he returned to Florida.

Cops waited for him at a concert in West Palm Beach last year and arrested him when his performance was over. He was released shortly afterward on $2,000 bond.
