Chris Brown has filed a defamation suit against the woman who accused him of rape during his trip to France.

The woman filed a report of aggravated rape with the French police on Jan. which led to Brown, his bodyguard and one other person being detained. They were all released without charges the following day.

According to TMZ, Brown’s lawyer Raphael Chiche filed the complaint Thursday ... titled "false accusation, committed on January 18, 2019." He is seeking a criminal prosecution for the "slanderous accusation."

A source close to the police told the breaking news outlet that "The weakest part of the case is the alleged victim's statement to police," and that the cops actually apologized to Brown when they released him from custody.

At the time, Brown hopped on Instagram to deny the allegations:

“THIS B!TCH LYIN’”: “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP!” he wrote while he was still being detained.

“FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!”
