Four men were gunned down at a Chicago gas station on the city's South Side. And the entire incident was caught on tape. Two of the men were killed, and two others are lucky to be alive.
Just before 2 a.m. Friday, Jawon C. Carter, 24, and Lavelle Cox, 24, along with two other men were in the vestibule of the GoLo gas station when someone ran from a nearby car, opened the bulletproof front door and fired more than a dozen shots inside, sources said.
The four men had no way to escape the gunfire because the entryway into the convenience store is locked at night. They were trapped as the gunman fired more than a dozen shots into them.
Jawan and Lavelle were each shot multiple times and both were pronounced dead inside the vestibule, according to the medical examiner's office.
But miraculously, the other two men LIVED. One victim - a 25-year-old man who asked to remain unidentified - was shot in the legs and grazed in the head. He was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital.
The other victim - A 64-year-old man whois identified only as "Old Man Bill" was shot in the leg, and he was taken to Stroger Hospital. Old Man Bill is expected to make a full recovery.
