Charles Barkley has weighed in on the ongoing reparations debate and makes it clear that he believes that the government should apologize for slavery.

Speaking to TMZ, on the topic of reparations, Barkley said:

"It's a serious subject," Barkley said of reparations. "It's a very serious subject...I don't know how you would do it, that's the problem. It's a very serious subject, and I don't think there's a right or a wrong answer. It can go either way, 'cause I don't know how you would do that actually."

As Congress continues to ponder exactly how a reparations rollout would work, Barkley is none the wiser as to who would be entitled to reparations.

"Too many people. I don't know who would get it, who would not get it... The government should apologize, but that has nothing to do with reparations, and I just don't know how you would do that."
