Gayle King is still facing backlash and even some death threats after her controversial interview last week.

After the interview between King and Lisa Leslie aired, fans were unhappy about King asking questions about Kobe Bryant's old rape case just days after his passing. Fans and even some celebs were outraged, with some of them coming out to blast King. Oprah Winfrey, Gayle's best friend, spoke out about the backlash and revealed on national television last week that Gayle is now in fear for her life.

CBS News President Susan Zirinsky issued a statement made to the Associated Press. "We fully support Gayle King and her integrity as a journalist," Zirinsky said. "We find the threats against her or any journalist doing their job reprehensible. The interview with Lisa Leslie was comprehensive and thoughtful. We are a country where differences of opinion are welcome, but hateful and dangerous threats are completely unacceptable."

King says that the interview was edited poorly and blamed CBS for the incident.
