Cardi B's career has hit a bit of a rough patch, and some are saying that her 15 minutes of fame may be coming to an end.

Cardi skyrocketed to fame in 2017, with her hit song Bodak Yellow. Her career went from 0-100 real quick. In 2018 Cardi was everywhere and seemingly on every hot remix.

But now the Dominican lyricist is cooling off, and her career seems to be going in the wrong direction. Her last two singles - Please Me (with Bruno Mars) and Press have both underwhelmed. Neither song became a hit, unlike most of Cardi's previous releases.

And now Cardi is apparently struggling to sell concert tickets.

Here are screenshots taken from May 12th, showing that Cardi was selling tickets to her shows for as little as $5. And despite the low prices, she still was unable to sell out the venue.

Shortly after the above pics were taken, Cardi announced that she was "cancelling" tour dates. At the time, Cardi told fans that she was cancelling dates because of complications with surgery.

But given the above screenshots, it seems like Cardi may have had other reasons to cancel shows.

More and more rappers have pulled back the veil on the hit making process to reveal just how many chefs are involved in the craft of their most beloved recipes. Recently, Cardi B, who has been harangued since her precipitous rise behind 2017’s “Bodak Yellow” about the provenance of her raps, was challenged about her songwriting prowess by a fan on Twitter and shot back with an admission that took all the air out of the argument by admitting that, yes, she does use writers — but only in specific situations.
