Cardi B is coming under fire, for taking shots at single moms. She told single moms to never leave their kids alone with a boyfriend, if he's not the kids biological dad.
Cardi B made the controversial statements while she was commenting on the sad case of Maleah Davis, a 4-year-old Houston girl who has been missing for 10 days.
The Bronx rapper, who is a married mom to 10-month-old daughter Kulture, told single women to stop leaving their defenseless minor children with their boyfriends or males who are not the biological fathers.
Cardi is facing a serious backlash from single moms, who feel that Cardi's comments are outrageous.
Here's Cardi's full quote:
Maleah was reported missing on Friday, May 13, after her mother's ex-fiancé, Derion Vence, 26, claimed he was carjacked by 3 males who abducted the girl.
Police now believe that Derion may be responsible for Maleah's death.
On Saturday Derion was charged with tampering with Maleah's corpse. He's still behind bars, on $45,000 bail. His bail was reduced from $1 million to $45,000 Monday afternoon, according to KSAT's sister station in Houston, KPRC.
Police no longer believe Maleah is alive. Blood and human tissue linked to Maleah were found in various places in the apartment Vence shared with Maleah's mother.
The 26-year-old rapper opened up to reporters Wednesday at the Fashion Nova X Cardi B Collection Launch Event in Los Angeles, revealing that a prior musical obligation would prevent her from spending the entire holiday with her daughter Kulture Kiari, who turns 10 months old on Friday.
“I’m very sad about Mother’s Day because I saw that I’m booked for Mother’s Day for a show and I had plans for Mother’s Day,” said Cardi B. (She is scheduled to perform at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.)
“I just hope South Carolina turns up for me because it’s like I’m going to spend my first Mother’s Day with them,” Cardi B added.
