Britney Spears' father Jamie Spears has officially stepped down as the star's conservator less than a week after news surfaced that he allegedly manhandled one of her sons.

According to the documents obtained by E!, Jodi Montgomery, Britney's longtime care manager, has been temporarily granted the same powers previously granted to Jamie.

Britney's sons were also granted a temporary restraining order against their grandfather after he allegedly shook violently her oldest son Jayden who is only 13.

Jodi now has the power to restrict and limit visitors by any means and the power to retain caretakers and security guards for Britney on an around-the-clock basis.

According to the court documents, Montgomery will serve as Britney's temporary conservator until Jan. 31, 2020, after which time her role as temporary conservator could be extended.

It was actually Jamie who filed to petition to have himself removed as her conservator. He asked to "temporarily relinquish the powers of conservatorship ... due to personal health reasons."
