Jay Z's wife Beyonce is under fire - for participating in the Super Bowl performances - even though her husband was calling for artists to boycott the event.

Two years ago, Shawn "Jay Z" Carter blasted the NFL, after they asked him to perform for the Super Bowl half-time show. Jay Z told the league that he would NOT do it, in support of blacklisted player Colin Kaepernick.

Since then Jay Z has convinced other artists - including Cardi B, Drake, and Meek Mill to turn down performing at the Super Bowl.

Apparently Jay Z wasn't able to convince his wife to boycott the Super Bowl. Yesterday Beyonce's artists Chloe x Halle took to the Super Bowl stage - and sang America the Beautiful to the millions of viewers.

Chloe x Halle are signed to Beyonce's "Parkwood" label and served as the opening act for the US leg of Beyonce and Jay-Z's On the Run II Tour.

Beyonce is being BLASTED on social media this morning - many are calling her a hypocrite.

Chloe x Halle first started by doing covers of pop songs on YouTube. It was their rendition of Beyoncé's "Pretty Hurts" that caught the attention of Beyoncé herself, as well as her label Parkwood Entertainment imprint in 2015.

Their debut EP, Sugar Symphony, was released on April 29, 2016. The EP was accompanied by its singles "Drop " and "Fall". Later in 2016, they made cameo appearances in Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album. They later served as Beyoncé's opening act for the European leg of The Formation World Tour.

In the spring of 2017, Chloe x Halle released their self-described, "This is not an album" and "not really a mixtape" critically acclaimed project, The Two of Us, which featured brand new music mostly written and produced by the duo. The project is featured on Rolling Stones's Best R&B Albums of 2017 list.
